Hello Blog readers! Well just wanted to share the art that myself and my Husband have produced this week. All of last weeks paintings sold and that is very encouraging. This has been a busy week and I have been at home with my daughter as its been the school hols. You may think that I have got many paintings done, but two paintings are what I have actually managed as I have been re organising my house and entertaining my daughter. Here is the first of the Paintings

Anson Road by Carolyn Boddy  SOLD
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170996177020?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

This was painted on Thursday and on Friday I wasn't able to paint as we had some Friends over for dinner. I drank much vino and didn't get to bed until 3am and then at 6am Saturday I got up with a huge headache (self inflicted) so I wasn't up to painting. We  had been invited to some other freinds on Saturday for more socialising and a spot of Roulette. This was great fun but I kept off the vino and when I got home very late I had some inspiration for a painting. I knew that my Husband Darryl planned to paint all day today so I got up early and painted a picture to make sure he could access the best painting spot and here it is.

                                                     Hot of the press today!

Forest Road by Carolyn Boddy. SOLD
This painting is inspired by two separate photos, one of a woman on a bike and another separate photo of some woodland. This morning I went jogging at about 10am and while out I saw a couple with a black spaniel and sure enough a black spaniel got added in to the painting, complete with the little coat he was wearing, so here it is! There is also a black cat in the tree because I owned one once, called Angel and although she is now in cat heaven, she often creeps into my paintings as she was very special to me and my family.
Darryl has also been busy painting a train which he enjoyed doing very much. The train is called the Kingfisher which I am informed that it is a  class A3 locamotive. The painting is very pleasing and I am sure it will sell as there are many train fans out there in the world. Here it is!

Next week I must do a commision for someone and I am struggling to find a way to link the many photos that they have provided me with into a painting. I am off to the drawing board now and expect a late night. Look out for more art work next week and follow the links to buy if you wish to do so.
Thanks for following us !

Elegance 3, Sunset  Drive SOLD

This Painting is hot off the press as I have just finished it this afternoon. It took about 6 hours to do in between many tea breaks. I drew it from a photograph and enjoyed painting it very much.  I feel quite pleased with the car and the sky in particular. This is the third painting I have done in this style and they are in contrast to my street scenes which are more akin to the Lowry style.I have used some metalic oils in the chrome of the car and on the lady's dress and earings. I like the effect and will use them again.
I have been reasonably busy this week as I have been working on a commision which I gave to the customer today and had some good feed back. The two paintings I did last week both sold tonight so thats all good and just as well as I have a very large parking fine to pay. I did one more painting this week in addition to this work and the commision and here it is.

Hello Blog readers.Just sharing my latest artwork, as I usually do on a Sunday night. I have been very busy this week and have painted 3 paintings of my own and also attended the art group I go to once a month where I did some more work on the communal peice that I told you about.
Day at the races 3 SOLD

The first painting I did of my own is called Day at the races 3. I painted this because I have recently painted 2 similar paintings and both sold for a good price. Any way I enjoyed painting it, appart from the crowd in the background which was tedius and time consuming to do. I am pleased with the way it looks now its done though! I changed the painting slightly from the photograph I used to paint from because one of the women in it was quite unattractive, so I glammed her up a bit for marketing purposes. I will leave you guessing which of the three women I altered. This painting took from Sunday till Wednesday.( I did no art Monday as I went out for dinner at a Lebanise resteraunt with some good friends)
                                                     Cannon Street  SOLD

Wednesday evening, I started the new street scene you can see above ,drawing it out and painting in the background. I finished the painting on Saturday morning and then I began work on a strange commission I have been asked to do of cat. This is not my usual type of work but I am a game girl,so I have given it a shot from the many photographs I have been given. I can't really share this as it is a private sale but I hope you like the two works of art I will share this week. On Thursday evening I went to my art group which I really enjoyed. We did some more work together  on a swimming themed scene. We have all worked on seperate figures in our own styles. They are various sizes so putting them together is tricky. We have made a start though and have decided next time to put some writing in between them so that it looks like waves, to tie them in together. Mid week I found myself working with an old Gentleman who had a very charismatic face. I asked if he minded if I drew him, well I did after he caught me doing it anyway. He did not mind as it happens as his wife is an art teacher. I was able to get a likeness and it amused the young people we were working with who crowded round giving great compliments. At home my Husband Darryl has been busy painting too !
Battersea Powerstation by Darryl BoddySOLD

He has chosen to paint this iconic building and I admire his work very much. We have both sold last weeks work and he has an Idea what he will do next. I on the other hand do not have the faintest Idea as yet. I am waiting for inspiration to strike. Have a lovely week anyway Blogg readers and if you like the work on this page just follow the links to buy it.

London Road 2

London Road 2   SOLD
My most current finished oil painting, which I have worked on over the course of this week.
Follow the link above to buy it if you wish. The Painting is a London scene and I am quite pleased with the atmospheric feeling of it.
I have struggled to get this painting done because My Husband who is also an Artist has been hogging the best painting spot in the house by the window. He has had a bit of a rest from painting for a couple of months and this week he picked up his brushes again, which I was pleased to see even if it did limit my painting time. I like it when we both have a painting going at the same time because its nice to give opinions to each other about how its going. Even though we both paint street scenes our style is very different. He is very technical and a real perfectionist. I on the other hand am much more free with my brush strokes. Any way this is the painting he has been working on, He has allowed me to share it with you.

I really like this painting and I hope you do too and if you'd like to buy it ,you can do so by following this link    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170984999982?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649  SOLD
I have done a little bit of art with some young people this week and really enjoyed doing so. I am also enjoying filling my sketch book with art that is just for me. That is, art that I shall not try to sell, can be in any medium and is just purely for my own pleasure. I have gained two commissions  this week which has put me under a bit of pressure ,in a nice way. So you can see that I remain busy as ever. Thanks for looking at the blog. Keep a look out for more art next week. I have made a start on something already!
