This was painted on Thursday and on Friday I wasn't able to paint as we had some Friends over for dinner. I drank much vino and didn't get to bed until 3am and then at 6am Saturday I got up with a huge headache (self inflicted) so I wasn't up to painting. We had been invited to some other freinds on Saturday for more socialising and a spot of Roulette. This was great fun but I kept off the vino and when I got home very late I had some inspiration for a painting. I knew that my Husband Darryl planned to paint all day today so I got up early and painted a picture to make sure he could access the best painting spot and here it is.
Hot of the press today!
Forest Road by Carolyn Boddy. SOLD
This painting is inspired by two separate photos, one of a woman on a bike and another separate photo of some woodland. This morning I went jogging at about 10am and while out I saw a couple with a black spaniel and sure enough a black spaniel got added in to the painting, complete with the little coat he was wearing, so here it is! There is also a black cat in the tree because I owned one once, called Angel and although she is now in cat heaven, she often creeps into my paintings as she was very special to me and my family.
Darryl has also been busy painting a train which he enjoyed doing very much. The train is called the Kingfisher which I am informed that it is a class A3 locamotive. The painting is very pleasing and I am sure it will sell as there are many train fans out there in the world. Here it is!
The Kingfisher train by Darryl Boddy SOLD
Next week I must do a commision for someone and I am struggling to find a way to link the many photos that they have provided me with into a painting. I am off to the drawing board now and expect a late night. Look out for more art work next week and follow the links to buy if you wish to do so.
