Hello Blog readers.Just sharing my latest artwork, as I usually do on a Sunday night. I have been very busy this week and have painted 3 paintings of my own and also attended the art group I go to once a month where I did some more work on the communal peice that I told you about.
Day at the races 3 SOLD

The first painting I did of my own is called Day at the races 3. I painted this because I have recently painted 2 similar paintings and both sold for a good price. Any way I enjoyed painting it, appart from the crowd in the background which was tedius and time consuming to do. I am pleased with the way it looks now its done though! I changed the painting slightly from the photograph I used to paint from because one of the women in it was quite unattractive, so I glammed her up a bit for marketing purposes. I will leave you guessing which of the three women I altered. This painting took from Sunday till Wednesday.( I did no art Monday as I went out for dinner at a Lebanise resteraunt with some good friends)

Wednesday evening, I started the new street scene you can see above ,drawing it out and painting in the background. I finished the painting on Saturday morning and then I began work on a strange commission I have been asked to do of cat. This is not my usual type of work but I am a game girl,so I have given it a shot from the many photographs I have been given. I can't really share this as it is a private sale but I hope you like the two works of art I will share this week. On Thursday evening I went to my art group which I really enjoyed. We did some more work together  on a swimming themed scene. We have all worked on seperate figures in our own styles. They are various sizes so putting them together is tricky. We have made a start though and have decided next time to put some writing in between them so that it looks like waves, to tie them in together. Mid week I found myself working with an old Gentleman who had a very charismatic face. I asked if he minded if I drew him, well I did after he caught me doing it anyway. He did not mind as it happens as his wife is an art teacher. I was able to get a likeness and it amused the young people we were working with who crowded round giving great compliments. At home my Husband Darryl has been busy painting too !
Battersea Powerstation by Darryl BoddySOLD

He has chosen to paint this iconic building and I admire his work very much. We have both sold last weeks work and he has an Idea what he will do next. I on the other hand do not have the faintest Idea as yet. I am waiting for inspiration to strike. Have a lovely week anyway Blogg readers and if you like the work on this page just follow the links to buy it.
